TAG Heuer's new 100% in-house designed caliber 1887... OUCH!

Their latest in-house manufactured caliber 1887 movement seems to be based on a Seiko movement. Opinion On The New Submariner From A Sub Owner
The new Submariner lineup hobbled the internet the other week. Now that the dust has settled to some degree, I thought Id weigh in with my thoughts.Love it or hate it, you cant deny that Rolex news is big news. And theres probably no bigger topic in the watch world than a new Submariner. If we were talking cars, this is akin to a new Porsche 911, a new Corvette, or perhaps a 4-series BMW. Restoration project of a Submariner 1680
John Holbrook recently bought this Rolex Submariner ref.1680 (approx. 1972), with red printing on the dial. As you can see on the photo below, the watch is quite worn. The bezel is incomplete (mind the missing luminous dot) and the bracelet is stretched. The watch case is still sharp edged, which means that this watch hasnt been polished much before. Especially on older Rolexes, the sharp edges are gone most of the time. This is mainly due to polishing of the case by a non Rolex service center. ....
